Sri Lanka crushes Scotland in T20 World Cup qualifier

Sri Lanka has just defeated Scotland by 10 wickets in the Women’s T20 World Cup qualifier in Abu Dhabi. The match took place in Group B, which also features teams from Ireland, Zimbabwe, the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates and Vanuatu. This defeat was a heavy blow to Scotland as they now have to regroup for their next matches against the United States and Thailand.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the eventual finalists securing a spot at the Women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh later this year. Despite their loss, Scotland is determined to bounce back and secure a place in the knockout stages of the tournament.

In this match, Kavisha Dilhari was the standout performer for Sri Lanka as she took 4-13 while Inoshi Priyadharshani claimed 3-11. Sri Lanka easily chased down the target of 94 runs after bowling out Scotland for just 18.1 overs.
