Super Health Fair Aims to Promote Well-Being for All in Wichita Falls

Health Fair to be Hosted by Public Health District

Next week, the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District will be hosting its first health fair since 2019. The fair will take place on April 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Health District’s main campus located at 1700 Third Street. This event was intentionally planned during National Public Health Week, which runs from April 1 to 7. The theme for this year’s fair is “Super Heroes, Super Health,” designed to cater to both children and adults.

City Public Information Officer Chris Horgen mentioned that more than 40 community partners will be present at the event to support the WFWCPHD motto: “A healthy community is a strong community.” The fair will feature over 30 kid-friendly booths with additional activities being added as the event approaches. Attendees of all ages can participate in games, activities, get their blood pressure checked, engage in a scavenger hunt, donate blood, try a car accident simulator, potentially win door prizes, and much more.

In addition to the health fair, Wichita Falls Animal Services will be offering free pet adoptions and free microchipping at their location on 1207 Hatton Road during National Public Health Week. This collaborative effort aims to promote community health and well-being for both humans and pets. Copyright 2024 KAUZ. All rights reserved.
