Tacoma Gutter Business Owner Devastated by Theft, Community Rallies Around Him in Support

Deputies in Pierce County locate stolen truck belonging to Tacoma business owner

On Friday night, Tacoma business owner Ron Baker was left devastated after his box truck, which contained all of his gutter business tools, was stolen from his property. It seemed like he would have to start from scratch. However, on Monday night there was some good news as the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office informed KIRO 7 that the truck had been recovered.

Unfortunately, it is unclear if all of Baker’s tools were still inside the truck when it was found during a response to an unwanted person call on 72nd Avenue South in Roy. Deputies discovered a man sleeping inside the truck and soon realized that it had been stolen. The man was then arrested for the theft. KIRO 7 is in the process of gathering more details about how the truck was found and the condition of the tools inside.

The community is rallying behind Baker in this difficult time, showing support for a small business owner in need. A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist him in purchasing new tools and equipment for his business. It is uncertain if any of the stolen equipment has been recovered yet. Despite this setback, Baker remains determined to rebuild his gutter business and continue serving his customers in Tacoma.
