Fort William DH World Cup 2024: Exciting Elite Qualifying Results Revealed

The first qualifying session of the 2024 World Cup series has come to a close, and the Elite racers are now facing off in a race against the clock to determine who will advance to the semi-finals. Tahnee Seagrave has shown impressive form in the Elite Women’s category, crossing the finish line nearly two seconds ahead of her closest competitor, Nina Hoffmann. However, Seagrave did lose her lead once during her run to Vali Höll in the second sector.

Nina Hoffmann delivered a consistent performance that kept her close behind Seagrave until she lost around a second in split four. Anna Newkirk put on an impressive display, gaining positions in the latter sectors to finish her qualifying ride in third place. Vali Höll, the 2023 overall winner and current World Champion, was unable to match the top time and dropped to fifth place in the standings. Despite briefly taking the lead during the second sector, Höll lost significant time in split three through the upper woods.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the final standings for both divisions as they continue to come in from qualifying for round one of the 2024 World Cup series. The provisional results for the Elite Women category show Tahnee Seagrave leading with a time of 4:48.043 seconds, followed closely by Nina Hoffmann at 4:49.921 seconds (+1.878). Anna Newkirk finished third at 4:50.534 seconds (+2.491), while Camille Balanche came fourth at 4:51.409 seconds (+3
