Technology Takes the Reins: Palantir’s Partnership with Ukrainian Ministry of Education Promises Safe Schools for 300,000 More Pupils

Palantir Teams Up with Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science to Enhance Online Education

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has partnered with Palantir to implement new technology that will support their initiative to provide safe access to schools for an additional 300,000 pupils. Through a signed agreement, the Ministry and Palantir aim to bring about qualitative changes in the education sector and ensure that as many children as possible can safely attend school in person. The partnership, set to last for 12 months initially, will align with the Government’s School Offline initiative, which seeks to increase access to safe schooling for Ukrainian children.

In response to the significant rise in online education due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Palantir has developed new software tooling that will help target funding for school bomb shelters. This 100% offline initiative aims to maximize the benefits for children and young people. Research shows that over 40% of children in Ukraine are currently relying on online or hybrid learning, resulting in educational setbacks. According to the PISA-2022 survey, Ukrainian students are falling behind their expected level by 1.5 to 2.5 years of study.

The collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Science and Palantir aims to address the educational challenges faced by Ukrainian students and ensure that more children have the opportunity to attend school safely. The new technology will play a crucial role in supporting the Government’s efforts to improve access to education in the country.
