Teen Shot on Chicago’s South Side: No Arrests Made Yet

Two offenders shoot teenager outside of a business on the South Side of Chicago

A 17-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after being shot on the city’s South Side Sunday morning. The teen was inside a business just before 8:30 a.m. in the 8100 block of South Halsted Street when two people pulled out a gun and fired shots from the outside, striking the victim in the body.

The shooters fled the scene in a gray SUV and left without any trace of their whereabouts. No one is currently in custody as area detectives continue to investigate the incident. Jeramie Bizzle is a digital news producer at CBS 2 Chicago.
