Texas Senator and Lawyer Representing NFL Player in Multi-Car Collision Speaks Out

Attorney reports that Rashee Rice is cooperating with local authorities

On Monday, it was reported that Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice had secured legal representation after a car registered to him was involved in a multi-car collision in Dallas. The counsel representing Rice is Royce West, a Texas Senator and managing partner at West & Associates L.L.P. In a statement released on behalf of Rice, West expressed Rice’s concern for all those affected by the accident and said that Rice is working with authorities to address the situation responsibly.

According to preliminary police reports, the collision involved a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini engaged in street racing, leading both drivers to lose control of their vehicles. Dashcam footage supports this narrative, with a total of six vehicles being caught up in the crash. It is not clear whether Rice turned himself in following the incident.

Reports indicate that individuals in the car registered to Rice left the scene of the accident. Two drivers from other vehicles involved in the wreck received treatment for minor injuries at the scene, while two others were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Attorney Marc Lenahan disclosed that he represents one of the victims who remained hospitalized as of Sunday night.
