In a recent clinical trial, participants who reduced their sitting time saw significant improvements in their blood pressure readings. Rosenberg’s research has provided tips on how to spend more time standing and moving throughout the day.

Some tips include standing during activities when you usually sit, such as watching TV or working at your desk. You can also change your TV habits by incorporating standing or movement during commercial breaks. Additionally, you can incorporate small bits of standing and walking throughout the day by taking a walk after each meal or parking farther away when running errands. By making these small changes to incorporate more movement into your daily routine, you can reduce the negative health impacts of prolonged sitting.
