The Bucks Face a Challenge in Game 4: Can They Overcome Lillard and Antetokounmpo’s Injuries?

Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo ruled out for Game 4 between Bucks and Pacers

The Milwaukee Bucks are facing a significant challenge in Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers as they try to even the series. Without their top two players, Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks will need increased production from players like Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, and Brook Lopez.

Lillard has been a key player for the team this season, averaging 24.3 points and seven assists during the regular season. In the playoffs, he escalated his performance with Antetokounmpo out, averaging 32.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in Games 1-3. However, he aggravated an Achilles injury during Game 3 on Friday night and was later seen wearing a walking boot. The team is awaiting the results of an MRI before ruling him out for Game 4 on Sunday.

Antetokounmpo has been sidelined for six games due to a calf strain that he has been dealing with since April 10. He has not played in any of the games in this series so far, leaving the Bucks without their most dominant force on offense and defense.

The Pacers have already taken a commanding lead over the Bucks in this series with their impressive play without Lillard or Antetokounmpo on the court. They won Game 3 convincingly despite playing shorthanded themselves due to injuries and suspensions. The Pacers’ defense was exceptional in Game 3, holding Lillard to just eight points after he scored more than double that amount in Games 1-2.
