The Lions received a low grade initially in their last draft but proved critics wrong with their selections. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs made immediate impacts as a rookie and was named Rookie of the Year for his outstanding performance on offense. Linebacker Jack Campbell also contributed significantly to their defense and was named second-team All-Rookie in 2023. Tight end Sam LaPorta and safety Brian Branch also made immediate impacts as rookies and were integral parts of their team’s success.
