Last week, the US spacecraft Odysseus successfully landed on the surface of the Moon. This marks a significant achievement as it is the first time in over 50 years that a US spacecraft has set foot on the lunar surface.
The orb-launcher, Odysseus, sent a farewell broadcast before powering down on Friday. The image captured by Odysseus shows the Moon’s surface with the crescent-shaped Earth in the background. Intuitive Machines, the company behind the mission, expressed hope to hear from Odysseus again in the future.
