Universal Music Group (UMG) and TikTok have reached a new agreement that will allow users of the popular social network to once again use songs from artists like Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny in their videos. This “multidimensional” licensing agreement between the two parties will bring back songs from UMG artists and composers to TikTok, all while ensuring fair remuneration and protection against artificial intelligence.

The partnership between TikTok and Universal Music Group aims to introduce new ways for artists to monetize their work, along with providing tools for analysis and sales integration to help them expand their global fan base through the vast reach of the video platform. Additionally, measures have been taken to protect the integrity of human art and ensure that artists and composers receive their due share of revenue in the face of advancements in artificial intelligence.
