Total Solar Eclipse Viewing Experience at Johnson City’s Science Mill: Limited Admission and Exclusive Equipment Provided

Space is limited at Science Mill for eclipse viewing

Johnson City is home to a unique Science Mill that is offering limited admission for the April 8 total solar eclipse. This event will allow visitors to witness the moon completely blocking out the sun for approximately 4 minutes starting at 1:35 p.m. on that Monday.

The Science Mill, conveniently located near the path of totality, provides an ideal spot to experience this rare astronomical event. Each ticket includes regular museum admission for four people, four solar eclipse-viewing glasses, and a designated parking space in the west parking lot off of U.S. 290. However, it’s important to note that parking availability is subject to weather conditions and can only be guaranteed inside the west parking lot where the event will take place.

The Science Mill is situated at 101 S. Lady Bird Lane and is easily accessible for those interested in attending the solar eclipse viewing. Due to its anticipated popularity, tickets are limited and walk-ins will not be permitted on April 8th.
