In northwest Miami-Dade, a fatal shooting occurred on Wednesday at a Jet Ski repair shop. The incident happened near Northwest 50th Street and 35th Avenue around 7:30 p.m. The victim was identified as German Amado De La Cruz, Jr., the owner of the shop.
When MDPD arrived at the scene, they found De La Cruz with gunshot wounds and transported him to a local hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. A friend of De La Cruz who works next door mentioned that the shooter was at the business much earlier in the day, around 10 a.m.
The friend expressed that he trusted De La Cruz and believed he would have disclosed if there was any issue. Additionally, he disclosed that the victim was married and had two children, one of whom was a newborn baby. However, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and police have not yet identified a suspect.
