Triple Threat: McLeod Health Hospitals Cheraw, Clarendon, and Dillon Earn Top Hospital Safety Grades

Leapfrog Group Awards McLeod Health Hospitals with Safety Grade of A

McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon, and McLeod Health Dillon have all been awarded an “A” Hospital Safety Grade by the Leapfrog Group. This national nonprofit organization evaluates hospitals based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries, infections, and the preventive systems in place. The grade recognizes the hospitals’ efforts in prioritizing patient safety and preventing harm and errors through various measures.

Dr. Caetie Rabon, Rural Regional Chief Medical Officer for McLeod Health, expressed gratitude for the recognition and attributed it to the hard work and dedication of the hospital teams. Rachel Gainey, CEO of McLeod Health Clarendon, also highlighted the unwavering dedication of the staff in upholding the highest safety and quality standards. Brent Lowe, CEO of McLeod Health Cheraw, emphasized the staff’s commitment to implementing best patient practices.

Jenny Hardee, CEO of McLeod Health Dillon, emphasized the hospital’s continuous pursuit of quality improvements and dedication to delivering exceptional care to the region. All three hospitals are focused on ensuring safe, high-quality care for every patient and are committed to ongoing improvement in healthcare services.
