Unleash Your Inner Scientist: The Children’s Museum of Wilmington Hosts NC Science Festival Celebration

NC Science Festival hosted by Children’s Museum of Wilmington on Saturday

The Children’s Museum of Wilmington is thrilled to host a celebration for the 2024 NC Science Festival on Saturday. This year’s theme, “Innovating for the Future”, will focus on technology and innovation. The museum will offer an exciting morning full of activities where visitors can engage with technology without screens and discover their inner scientist. Activities include building a scribblebot, creating binary code bracelets, and diving into virtual reality under the sea. Special guests from Geosyntec, North American Young Generation in Nuclear, and UNC Chapel Hill Computer Science Department will be present to share their knowledge and inspire young learners.

In addition to the NC Science Festival activities, the museum will be open for its usual exploration. The North Carolina Science Festival is a month-long celebration of science held every April across the state, offering fun and interactive science learning opportunities for all ages. The festival aims to showcase the educational, cultural, and financial impact of science in North Carolina. By fostering an early interest in science, children develop crucial skills for lifelong learning and gain a foundation for understanding the world around them.

The Children’s Museum of Wilmington invites visitors to join us on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 from 9 am to 12 pm at our “Innovating for the Future” event. Tickets can be purchased online for $5 per member or $15 per non-member. Come experience science in an engaging way and celebrate innovation at our museum!
