Throwflame, an Ohio-based flamethrower manufacturer, has finally released its latest product, the Thermonator, a quadruped robot equipped with a flamethrower. The robot is now available for purchase in the United States, except for Maryland and California.

Thermonator is named after a fictional film character who played a significant role in a robotic revolution that almost wiped out humanity. The video showcasing its capabilities was set to the song “Destroyer of Worlds Oppenheimer Remix,” adding an ironic twist to the product.

Thermonator’s features include one-hour battery life, cartographic mapping sensors, instant ARC ignition, laser aiming, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for remote control via a smartphone. This mechanical quadruped is suitable for various tasks such as agricultural management, ecological conservation, forest fire control, snow and ice removal among others.

The company claims that Thermonator is designed with versatility in mind and can launch fire up to nine meters with plasma arc ignition. However, it is not yet clear what specific industries or fields will benefit from this unconventional device. Nonetheless, its unique design and capabilities have generated interest and discussion on various online platforms.

Thermonator’s introduction marks a new era of robotic applications in different industries and fields as more such devices become available for purchase. As technology enthusiasts and individuals interested in innovative products continue to explore these possibilities, we can expect more exciting developments from Throwflame in the future.
