Urgent Arms Aid Sent to Ukraine: Biden Touts Bipartisan Support and Emphasizes Collective Defense

Biden Sends Arms to Ukraine, Unveils ‘Secret Missiles’ for Kiev

The US is sending arms to Kiev immediately, as confirmed by President Joe Biden yesterday at the White House. This comes after the signing of a $95 billion aid and weapons law for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. The bipartisan support for this package from the US Senate was long-awaited and has now been approved.

President Biden emphasized the urgent need to provide aid to Ukraine in their fight against Russian aggression. He stated that shipments of ammunition for air defense, artillery, missile systems, and armored vehicles will begin immediately. Biden highlighted the importance of this aid package not only for the security of Ukraine but also for Europe and US security.

The US has already begun sending ATACMS long-range missiles to Ukraine, as confirmed by White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. These missiles were eagerly requested by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and have already been used twice by Kiev.

Despite delays in securing funding, Biden expressed relief that the aid package has finally been approved. He criticized the Republicans for blocking aid for Ukraine, allowing Russian allies to continue supporting Putin’s aggression. The President warned of the potential threat to NATO allies if Putin were to succeed in Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of collective defense agreements.

Ukrainian President Zelensky expressed gratitude for the US military aid package, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling the agreements reached between him and President Biden. He thanked all Americans working in defense companies for their support and promised to make every effort to compensate for previous delays.

In conclusion, both American and Ukrainian leaders are committed to working together to ensure successful implementation of this aid package and strengthening Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against ongoing Russian aggression.
