Utah Holds Strong as the Most Business-Friendly State: 2019 Rich States, Poor States Report by American Legislative Exchange Council in Washington Times

According to Lisa B. Nelson, CEO of ALEC, the rankings show that workers and businesses are attracted to areas with jobs, freedoms, and opportunities for success. Sean Salai of The Washington Times highlighted the results of the 17th edition of Rich States, Poor States: ALEC-Laffer State Economic Competitiveness Index.

In this year’s rankings, Utah was once again named the most business-friendly state for the 17th consecutive year. New York, on the other hand, ranked last for the 11th year in a row. The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) released their annual conservative economic forecast, which showed that Utah excelled in 15 indicators after implementing significant tax cuts for four consecutive years.
