Valencia CF Streamlines Stadium Entry with NFC Technology: Say Goodbye to Physical Tickets!

Valencia CF introduces NFC passbook technology at Mestalla

Valencia CF is partnering with LALIGA to implement NFC technology at Mestalla, allowing season ticket holders to use digital passes at stadium turnstiles. The transition to NFC passbooks will begin on May 5th during the match between Valencia CF and Deportivo Alavés. Previously, season tickets were available digitally through QR codes, but the switch to contactless technology will simplify entry for fans.

The new system enables tickets to be stored on mobile devices such as phones or smartwatches and scanned at the turnstiles with a circular icon on the contactless reader. This method eliminates the need for physical tickets, reducing the risk of loss or theft, and ensuring smoother access to the stadium. The physical form of the 2023/24 season tickets are multi-season, allowing them to be used for the current season and the next two.

For fans without NFC-compatible devices, the digital pass also includes a QR code for entry. To download the NFC passbook, fans should visit the Member Portal at https://portaldelsocio.valenciacf.com, log in with their ID and PIN, click on ‘Download Digital Pass,’ and follow the instructions sent via email. It’s important to remember the terms of use, such as only one entry permitted per game, possible identification checks at the turnstiles, and the prohibition of selling tickets to third parties.

With this new NFC technology in place, Valencia CF aims to enhance the matchday experience for its loyal season ticket holders and ensure a more efficient and secure entry process at Mestalla.
