Man breaks Miami Beach business window with table just before closing – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

Over the weekend, a man was caught on surveillance video vandalizing a Miami Beach restaurant by breaking a window. The incident took place at PAUL Bakery on Lincoln Road, where the perpetrator grabbed a table from outside the bakery and threw it at the window.

Miami Beach Police are currently investigating the incident and are seeking information about the suspect involved in the vandalism. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Miami Beach Police or Crime Stoppers. The owner of the business, Vladimir Alfa, expressed his disappointment at the deteriorating condition of Miami Beach and the impact it has had on businesses.

Alfa cited reasons such as increasing insurance costs, labor expenses, and the prevalence of homelessness in the area as contributing factors to his decision to close down his bakery after 17 years. He also noted that the changing landscape of Miami Beach, with empty stores and ongoing construction, played a role in his choice to shut down.

Despite these challenges, Alfa emphasized that incidents like this were rare in the 17 years he operated in the area. However, he expressed frustration that they now reflect changes in Miami Beach’s community. As he prepares to close his business for good, Alfa hopes that by finding justice for those affected by this act of vandalism will bring him peace and closure.
