Walmart’s Expansion in Healthcare: Four New Centers Opening in Houston, Meeting the Demand for Accessible Care

New Walmart Health Clinics Emerging in Texas

Four Walmart Health centers will open in Houston this year, marking the rise of easily accessible care for seniors and their families in Texas. The facilities are around 5,400 square feet in size and are situated beside Walmart Supercenters. These locations will offer services such as same-day primary care, dental care, behavioral health, laboratories, X-ray services, community health programs, and telehealth.

The grand opening in Sugar Land marks the 50th Walmart Health center in the country. With the population of Texas on the rise, these new locations will help meet the demand for accessible care. Dr. David Carmouche, senior vice president of healthcare delivery at Walmart stated that these centers will help provide seniors and their families with convenient access to healthcare services they need most.

Most of the Walmart Health centers are set to open throughout the summer and fall of 2024. These locations will be open seven days a week for the convenience of patients and their families.
