Oklahoma-Based Film Shines Light on Teenage Mental Health

In 2023, a faith-based film titled “What Rhymes With Reason” was produced by Virgil Films and Reckless Abandonment Films. Filmed entirely in Oklahoma, this production was described as a mix between the adventure of the Goonies and the camaraderie of The Breakfast Club. The movie began streaming on Amazon on Feb. 6, 2024 and quickly became one of the top 10 faith movies on the platform.

With numerous awards from various film festivals, including Best Family and Children Film at the 2023 World Film Festival in Cannes, “What Rhymes With Reason” has received critical acclaim. The film’s director, Kyle Roberts, was moved to create this movie after learning that suicide is the leading cause of death among teenagers.
