WhatsApp’s Green Update: A Modern Experience or a Visual Identity Crisis?

WhatsApp updates its iPhone design: Blue icons replaced with green.

WhatsApp, a widely used instant messaging app around the globe, has undergone a recent update that has garnered mixed reactions from its users. The new feature changes the icons at the bottom of the main menu to appear in green, which is WhatsApp’s favorite color. This update only affects iPhone users and is being rolled out to all devices running on iOS operating system. Android users are not affected by this change as they already have green notifications on their devices running on Google’s operating system.

Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, has stated that they made changes to the app’s appearance and functionality, including spaces, colors, icons and more. They claim that these changes bring a modern experience to the app and make it more accessible and user-friendly. However, some users have inquired about reverting to the previous color scheme, but Meta has stated that this change is not optional and will eventually be applied to all WhatsApp users.

If users have not yet seen these changes, they may have to wait for some time before they are implemented on their devices. The update cannot be circumvented or reversed as Meta has indicated that it will be rolled out to all users in the future. Overall, while some users may find the new update appealing, others are unhappy with the change and are expressing their dissatisfaction on social media.
