Whole Foods Chooses La Gringuita Cookies for Local & Emerging Accelerator Program (LEAP)

Frozen cookie business goes from a side project to landing in Whole Foods

Caroline McGinley’s La Gringuita cookies will soon be available in the frozen cookies section of Whole Foods stores starting in May. Her brand has been chosen to participate in Whole Foods’ Local & Emerging Accelerator Program (LEAP) after competing with thousands of other applicants.

Caroline’s quarter-pound stuffed cookies are a unique addition to the supermarket shelves, which caught the attention of Whole Foods. Her brand will be available in four flavors in the frozen food section of Whole Foods stores in South Florida, including Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Collier, and Lee counties.

La Gringuita cookies were born out of Caroline’s passion for baking and her desire to share her creations with others. She started making cookies for her roommates in Uruguay before moving back to South Florida and selling them online and at local green markets. Each package of La Gringuita cookies contains frozen dough balls that can make four quarter-pound stuffed cookies. The flavors include seasonally inspired options as well as mainstays like Brown Buttah, Chocolate Souffle, El Churro, and The Jammy.

Caroline’s success story is a testament to her passion and hard work. With La Gringuita cookies now available in Whole Foods stores across South Florida, she continues to share her love for baking with customers far and wide.
