Wolt, a food delivery company that has operations in 27 countries and employs over 10,000 people, has announced that it is undergoing change negotiations. Although no one from the company was available for an interview, via email they confirmed that the negotiations are ongoing and may impact the employment relationships of a small group. Finnish communications director, Jenni Jusslinin, stated that the aim is to renew the company’s organizational structure to ensure operational efficiency. This may involve centralizing some personnel from country teams as part of global teams at the company’s headquarters in Helsinki.
Wolt’s head office is located in Helsinki and the company has been part of American food delivery giant Doordash since 2022. Doordash is currently facing financial challenges as its stock price dropped over 13% on Wall Street due to weakened consumer demand impacting sales at the beginning of the year.
