Women’s T20 World Cup: Australia Eyes Seventh Title in Bangladesh, Qualifier Slots Determined in Abu Dhabi

Australia is targeting their seventh title in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which will take place in Bangladesh from October 3 to 20. As reigning champions, they have been placed in Group A with India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and a team from the qualifiers. Group B consists of Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies and another qualifier team.

The two qualifier teams for the tournament will be determined during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi. The finalists on May 7 will earn the spots. The Southern Stars will begin their title defense against the qualifier on October 4th and play all their group matches at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

The Australian Women’s T20 World Cup schedule for 2024 includes matches against Qualifier 1 on October 4th in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). They will also face Pakistan on October 9th, New Zealand on October 11th and India on October 14th. AEDT is used from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April while AEST is used for the rest of the year.
