The Small Business Administration’s Minnesota District Office has named Terri Wood, the president and owner of Woody’s Trucking Inc. in Willmar, as the Women-Owned Small Business of the year for 2024. The business moved to Willmar in 2011 and experienced significant growth since then.
The company expanded its fleet and purchased a 17,600-square-foot building. Under Wood’s leadership, the company grew from a handful of trucks to 18 today. They specialize in shipping fresh and frozen foods across 40 states and are managed by both Terri and Mike Wood.
The Women-Owned Small Business of the Year award is part of the National Small Business Week, which occurs in the first week of May. The week will feature virtual panels and award ceremonies.
