The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team is heading to Bradenton, Florida for the UTR NIT tournament from May 5-8. This marks their second year in a row of postseason play. Last year, they had a 2-1 record and finished third in the Mountain West with a 7-3 record.
During the regular season, three Cowgirls received All-Mountain West honors. Noesjka Brink and Sophie Zehender were named to the All-Singles Team, while Violetta Borodina and Zehender received All-Doubles recognition.
The Cowgirls are joined in the tournament by teams from Colorado, West Virginia, Tulsa, Liberty, Appalachian State, Pacific, and Saint Mary’s. Fans can stream all matches on Amazon Prime Video.
Wyoming had a strong showing last year in the NIT tournament and will be looking to improve upon that this year as they compete against some of the best teams in the country.
