The Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD) announced that from May to August, more than a dozen regional assets will provide free admission on specific dates. To qualify for this offer, individuals must have an Allegheny County library card and make a reservation in advance. The RAD is expanding its Summer Staycation program by offering free admission days instead of traditional RAD Day events.
The Andy Warhol Museum, Children’s Museum, and Heinz History Center offered free admission every operating day last August to great success. This year, the RAD has decided to continue providing free admission during the summer months to give back to taxpayers who fund these projects. Starting on May 1st, free admission dates will be posted on RADPass.org with additional offers added throughout the season. If people can’t make it to their reserved date, they should cancel their reservation so that others can take advantage of the free tickets.
