50 Years of Excellence: The University of South Carolina’s Top-Ranked International Business Program Celebrates a Milestone

USC provost delves into the reasons behind the high rankings of the international business program

The University of South Carolina is widely recognized for its excellence in women’s college basketball and international business education. According to Donna Arnett, the school’s provost, USC has a long-standing history of having the top international business program in the country, which adds great significance to the Darla Moore School of Business.

While USC’s undergraduate acceptance rate is around 64%, the international business programs are highly selective. This is due to the experiential learning element and the international aspect of these programs. The undergraduate international business program has been ranked first in the nation for 25 years, while the international MBA has held the top spot for 11 years.

One of the key strengths of USC’s international business program is its study abroad opportunities. The university has established relationships with over 50 highly ranked business schools around the world. Despite being one of the university’s most challenging majors, graduates often find that their hard work pays off with job placement rates close to 98%.

The Darla Moore School of Business at USC is not only known for its excellence in international business but also excels in supply chain management and accounting. During the pandemic, Arnett highlighted the importance of supply chain management and its impact on the economy as a whole.

To celebrate 50 years of excellence in international business education at USC, the university plans to hold a two-day event next week. This milestone marks half a century of dedication to providing students with top-notch education and preparing them for success in their careers.
