76-Year-Old Actress and Soap Star from ‘The Guiding Light’, ‘The Young and the Restless’, and ‘Another World’

Jennifer Leak, a remarkable woman who was known for her strength, talent, and love for family, passed away at the age of 76 on March 18 at her home in Jupiter, Florida. She had been battling progressive supranuclear palsy, a rare neurological disease, in her final years.

Leak was born in Cardiff, Wales in 1947 and had a successful career in acting. She appeared in various soap operas and screen roles before transitioning to working as a sales agent for a real estate company in the mid-1980s.

Leak’s former husband, Tim Matheson, shared a tribute to her on Facebook, describing her as an incredible woman who was kind-hearted and always willing to help others. He also expressed his condolences to her husband, James D’Auria, whom she had been married to for 47 years.

Leak is best known for her role in the 1968 film “Yours, Mine and Ours” where she played Colleen, the daughter of Lucille Ball’s character. The movie portrayed a blended family of 18 children.

Despite facing numerous challenges throughout her life, Leak remained strong and positive until the very end. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and inspired along the way.
