Alarming Discoveries at Cosmetic Surgery Business: Violations and Unsanitary Practices Raise Safety Concerns

The skin care facility expanded into cosmetic surgery and relocated frequently.

Doan Thach Tuyen’s cosmetic surgery business has been under fire after a surprise inspection revealed multiple violations. On April 25, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Tang Chi Thuong, announced that a surprise inspection was conducted at the facility located at 3/4 Street 25A, Tan Quy Ward, District 7. The inspection found illegal advertising on Facebook under the name “Doan Thach Tuyen”, promoting cosmetic surgery procedures such as facial thread implants, breast augmentation, and abdominal liposuction.

The facility had initially obtained a business registration certificate in October 2019 but later registered for changes in April 2021 to offer facial care services. However, it did not have the necessary license from the Department of Health to conduct medical examinations and treatments. During the inspection, used syringes and drainage tubes with fresh blood stains were found on the ground floor, raising concerns about hygiene and safety practices.

On the first floor, there was a room equipped with patient beds, a customer care consulting area, and invoice books for services like structural rhinoplasty, filler injections, and upper eyelid fat grafting. On the second floor was a closed room where two customers were found including a foreign national who had undergone rhinoplasty. The shelves contained products with unknown origins adding to red flags about their practices.
