Austrian Airlines Suspends Flights Amid Escalating Tensions between Iran and Israel

Temporarily no flights from AUA to Tehran

Austrian Airlines (AUA) has suspended their flights until Thursday, April 18th due to the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel. The airline stated that long routes passing through Iranian airspace will be rerouted as needed.

Lufthansa, the parent company of AUA, had previously canceled their flights to and from Tehran in light of the increasing tensions. Tensions between Iran and Israel have risen following a suspected Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy compound in Syria in early April. Threats from Tehran towards Israel have also increased, prompting Israel to warn that it will respond to any potential attacks on its territory by Iran.

The situation remains fluid, and AUA is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of their passengers and crew. The airline is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and is in constant communication with the authorities regarding any developments.
