BayCare Health System Expands its Footprint in West-Central Florida with New Hospital in Parrish

Parrish Hospital to be Built by BayCare Health System Later this Year

BayCare Health System recently announced plans to begin construction on a new hospital in Parrish, with an expected opening date of 2027. The $548 million facility will initially have 154 beds and a 45,000-square-foot medical arts building, with potential to expand to 207 beds in the future.

This new hospital will mark the 17th BayCare hospital in the west-central Florida region, with a primary focus on Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Polk counties. BayCare CEO Stephanie Conners expressed excitement about deepening their commitment to the residents of Manatee County and bringing high-quality and compassionate care closer to the community. In addition to the hospital, BayCare operates a physicians’ office in Palmetto and offers home health and telehealth services to serve the area.

Recognizing the rapid growth in Manatee County, BayCare emphasizes the importance of prioritizing smart and sustainable development strategies to ensure the well-being of the community. Co-Chief Operating Officer Kimberly Guy highlighted the significance of smart growth initiatives that not only accommodate the increasing population but also promote access to high-quality healthcare services.
