Brighton Growing Grads supports aspiring entrepreneurs in developing their business acumen

Brighton is set to host a unique program that will educate young entrepreneurs on how to start and manage a business. The Growing Grads program, which takes place at the city’s City Hall located at 500 South 4th Ave, will run from June 26 to June 27. An orientation session open to all ages is scheduled for June 25 from 3-5 p.m., and separate sessions will be held for those aged 12 and younger and those aged 13 and older.

Tawnya Russell, the Youth Services Manager, emphasized the importance of watching youth develop valuable business skills and gain self-confidence through the program. She mentioned that the program is continuously adapted to meet the needs of all participants, with expectations set for the 2024 session to be the best yet. Participants who complete the program will have an opportunity to sell their items at the Brighton City BBQ festival on July 18.

The boot camp program is designed specifically for young adults aged 19 and under, providing them with essential topics and skills needed to succeed in business. Interested individuals can register for the boot camp through Brighton’s website by June 14, after which they can contact Tawnya Russell at (303)655-2123 or trussell@brightonco.gov for more information on this exciting opportunity.
