Breaking Barriers: The Empowering Partnership Between Mudarrib, ILO, and Jordanian Ministry of Youth

Empowering Women in Sports in Jordan: Advancing Fitness Trainers and Personal Trainers through Upskilling

The sports consultancy Mudarrib, registered with the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), has collaborated with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to develop the “Goal for Life” programme. This initiative was led by a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Youth in Jordan and the ILO.

The programme aims to empower women by creating employment opportunities and reducing unemployment rates. It equips participants with necessary skills to work in gyms, educational institutions, and various sports facilities. Through effective media utilization, this programme challenges misconceptions and stereotypes about women’s capabilities.

By providing training and employment opportunities in the sports industry, women are able to achieve economic independence and contribute to their empowerment. The programme addresses barriers and provides support, promoting gender equality while facilitating inclusion of women in traditionally male-dominated fields. This collaboration between the Ministry of Youth, ILO, and Mudarrib underscores the importance of collaboration in creating sustainable solutions for women’s empowerment and economic development in Jordan.
