Technology Center Celebrates Signing Day – The Troy Messenger

Recently, the Troy Pike Center for Technology hosted a Careers Are Fun Day event for students in grades 10-12 from local high schools including Charles Henderson High School, Goshen High School, and Pike County High School. This event aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the career options available to them.

During the Careers Are Fun Day, Jamie Rich, assistant principal at the center, spoke about the importance of fostering a sense of togetherness among students from different high schools. She emphasized that this event was not just about learning about various career paths but also building connections and relationships with peers from other schools.

In addition to the Careers Are Fun Day event, the TPCT also hosted a Senior Career Signing Day for students who will be entering the military or starting employment or apprenticeships at local businesses and industries. This event provided an opportunity for these students to celebrate their future career paths and accomplishments. They were able to share their experiences with one another and gain valuable insights into different industries and job opportunities. The Senior Career Signing Day was a great way for these students to mark the end of their high school journey and begin their next chapter in life. Overall, both events were successful in providing valuable information and inspiration for students as they navigate their futures.
