Celebrating Economic Growth: Leaders Highlight New Transportation Resource Center in St. Louis

New Office in Cortex Opens for Small Business Transportation Resource Center

St. Louis Economic Development Partnership CEO & President Rodney Crim, U.S. Representative Cori Bush, Chairman, President, and CEO of St. Louis Development Corporation Neil Richardson, and St. Louis County Councilwoman Shalonda Webb were featured speakers at a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Central Region Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC) in St. Louis.

The event, held at the Cortex Innovation Center, celebrated the opening of a new office that serves as an economic engine for the region. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Transportation, SBTRC, and Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) also addressed attendees.

The Central Region SBTRC offers services to disadvantaged business enterprises and small businesses in the civil transportation industry in Missouri as well as neighboring states like Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, and Mississippi. The WBDC operates the Central Region SBTRC through a cooperative agreement with the U.S Department of Transportation’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization
