Celebrating Golfing Greatness: Inwood Tavern’s Legacy of Hospitality Continues with Scottie Scheffler’s Visit

Scottie Scheffler, the world’s top golfer, made a stop at a Dallas bar following his victory at The Masters.

Inwood Tavern, a legendary watering hole located in Dallas since 1964, was the destination of choice for Scottie Scheffler following his victory at the Masters Tournament. The Love Field-area bar serves as a pool hall, sports bar and patio hangout all rolled into one.

Scheffler, a Highland Park High School graduate, visited the tavern on April 14th to celebrate his second green jacket in three years. Inwood Tavern provides a relaxed atmosphere where celebrities like Scheffler can blend in without much attention. Manager Sam Graves stated that their primary goal is to create a comfortable environment for all patrons, including famous visitors like actor Owen Wilson who has also graced the tavern’s doors.

Local fans eagerly followed the Masters Tournament to see if Scheffler would be forced to withdraw if his wife went into labor. Fortunately, that did not happen and Scheffler was able to finish the tournament before heading back home to Texas. Some wondered if Scheffler’s appearance at Inwood Tavern would attract larger crowds; however, it seemed like business as usual the following day.

Inwood Tavern remains an essential part of Dallas’ community after six decades of operation. For more updates on food news in Dallas and beyond, follow Sarah Blaskovich on social media @sblaskovich.
