City of Kyle Strives for Guinness World Record as ‘Kyles’ Gather at Fair

Attention all Kyles: Join the City of Kyle in breaking a world record!

In Texas, the City of Kyle is working hard to break a Guinness World Record. On May 18th, at Kyle Fair, the city will gather as many people named Kyle as possible within its limits. The event is open to all individuals with the name Kyle specifically spelled that way and proof of their first name. Variations such as Kyler, Kyal, or Kylee will not be accepted, and middle names, last names, and nicknames are also not permitted for inclusion in the record count.

To participate, Kyles can pre-register online or register on-site at the Kyle Fair on May 17th from 4-10:30 p.m., or on May 18th from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The official count will take place at 1 p.m., and free Kyle Fair T-shirts will be given to all participants while supplies last. This will be the city’s fifth attempt at breaking the record, with the previous year bringing in 1,490 Kyles from across the country. The current record is held by Bosnia, where 2,325 individuals named Ivan gathered in July 2017.

In addition to the record-breaking attempt, the Kyle Fair A Tex-Travaganza will be taking place from May 17th to May 19th at Lake Kyle Park. This event features live music, food trucks, margarita judging, rib judging and other activities. Admission to the fair is free and attendees can enjoy plenty of entertainment options throughout the weekend.

The City of Kyle has been working hard to gather as many people named Kyle as possible within its city limits for this Guinness World Record attempt on May 18th at Kyle Fair. Individuals with specific name “Kyle” spelled that way and proof of their first name are eligible to participate in this exciting event.

To make sure you’re included in this historic momentous occasion there are two ways you can register; either online beforehand or on-site at the fair during specific hours on May 17th and May 18th respectively.

This fifth attempt by City of Kyle has already attracted a large number of participants from across the country last year bringing in over 1490 Kyles.

The current world record holder is Bosnia where over 2300 individuals named Ivan gathered together in July
