The Women’s T20 World Cup is set to take place this year, with the top 10 women’s cricket teams from around the world competing for the title. The tournament will be held from May 7 to May 20 and will feature two groups of five teams each.
Group A will consist of Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Qualifier 1, while Group B will include Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and Qualifier 2. The qualifiers for Group A and Group B will come from the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers currently taking place in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The top two teams from the qualifiers will secure the last two spots in the main tournament.
Matches in Group A will be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, while Group B matches will be played at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on May 17 and 18. The final match of the Women’s T20 World Cup will be held on October 20 at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
South Africa and England are set to kick off the tournament with a match on October 3, while India will begin their campaign against New Zealand on October 4.
