CVC Capital Partners’ Successful Entry into the Middle East: Dubai as a Strong Platform for International Asset Management

Maktoum bin Mohammed and CVC Capital Partners Founder Discuss Cooperation

Dubai serves as a strong starting point for CVC Capital Partners’ business in the Middle East region, according to Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and President of the Dubai International Financial Center met with Rollie van Rappaard, co-founder and co-chairman of CVC Capital Partners, at His Highness’s rest house in Nad Al Sheba.

During the meeting, Rollie briefed His Highness on the company’s work in the region and its contribution to the interests of its office in Dubai. Sheikh Maktoum expressed that Dubai’s favorable business environment, advanced infrastructure, and position as a major financial hub made it an attractive location for international asset management.

Rollie van Rappaard commended Dubai’s leadership for creating an attractive atmosphere for investors and capitalists, making it a leading business center regionally and internationally. The meeting was attended by key officials from both sides, including Issa Kazim, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre, and Ozgur Onder from CVC Capital Partners.

CVC Capital Partners is a global investment consulting and asset management company based in Europe with offices worldwide. Founded in 1981, they manage approximately 186 billion euros in assets with a focus on private equity investments.
