Discover Day for Animal Science at KUVR

Looking for a fun and engaging learning experience? Then the annual Animal Science Discover Day on May 29th in Curtis, NE is the perfect event for you! All youth aged 8-18 years old are invited to attend this exciting day on the NCTA Campus.

The event will take place from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm and will focus on various aspects of livestock production and careers. Participants will have the opportunity to attend seven workshops taught by animal science teachers, where they will gain important life skills. This year, there are several new topics including meat science, calving simulation, horse IV, Livestock skillathon, quiz bowl, Zoonosis, Animal welfare, Ag Advocacy and more.

To make things even better, participants will be divided into junior and senior tracts to provide more in-depth learning for older youth. The sessions are designed to be fun and engaging learning experiences for all attendees. Parents and other adults interested in the livestock industry and youth education are encouraged to register and participate in the event as well.

Registering for this event is easy! Participants can do so online by May 22 for $15/participant. Late registrations will be $20/participant.
