Easing Visitor Restrictions: A Glimmer of Hope for Families in Marietta, Ohio Hospitals

All Memorial Health System locations remove visitor and masking restrictions

In Marietta, Ohio, Memorial Health System has recently announced that they have lifted visitor and masking restrictions at all of their locations. This positive development comes after the health system has seen a decrease in patients with respiratory illnesses such as COVID-19, RSV, and influenza.

Prior to this decision, the health system had implemented guidelines that limited the number of visitors per patient to two and required visitors to be 18 years or older with no signs of illness. Masks were also mandatory in all areas of the hospital, with additional restrictions for specialized units and specific illnesses.

The lifting of these restrictions indicates a hopeful sign that with the decrease in cases, visitors can once again freely visit their loved ones in the hospital without many restrictions. This news is welcome for families who have been unable to visit their loved ones due to previous limitations.
