Global and Local Jane’s Walks in Ellsworth.

Ellsworth, Maine is set to participate in Jane’s Walk this year, joining over 500 cities worldwide in this global event. This will be the third year that Ellsworth has taken part in this initiative, which aims to promote community engagement and pride in one’s surroundings.

The walks will take place on Saturday, with two options available for participants. The first walk will focus on nature and begin at 10:00 a.m. at the River Walk North trail head behind the Ellsworth Public Library. The second walk, centered around historical Ellsworth, will start at 3:00 p.m. at the Old Burial Grounds on State Street.

Heart of Ellsworth has partnered with GrowSmart Maine and the Ellsworth Historical Society to organize these walks. The goal is to encourage people to connect with their community and develop a sense of pride for where they live and work.
