Melissa Borrelli, John Puente, and Raja Sékaran have recently joined Epstein Becker Green as members of the health care and life sciences practice in San Francisco. According to the firm, Sékaran has extensive experience representing various entities in the healthcare industry such as health care delivery systems, medical groups, health plans, hospitals, and private equity investors. Prior to joining the firm, Sékaran served as senior counsel in the Office of Inspector General for HHS and also worked with California’s private insurance exchange for small-group employers.
John Puente, another new member of the team, previously held positions such as deputy director and chief counsel of the California Department of Health Care Services and general counsel for the Medical Board of California. With his background in healthcare regulation and compliance, Puente brings valuable expertise to the firm’s practice.
Borrelli brings her experience in health care law to the team. Her previous roles include serving as deputy director at a healthcare consulting firm. Borrelli’s knowledge of the industry will contribute to the firm’s ability to provide comprehensive legal services to its clients.
