Fired Up for Science event to be hosted at Viterbo University on April 16

The annual Fired Up for Science event at Viterbo University is a must-attend for anyone interested in science, as it promises to be an interactive and engaging experience. From 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, participants can head to the D.B. and Marge Reinhart Center on campus to witness more than a dozen areas showcasing the fun side of science.

Participants will begin by signing in at the Skogen Welcome Center in the Reinhart Center before they are free to explore the various experiments on display. These experiments range from soda-and-Mentos geysers and “whoosh bubbles” to “elephant toothpaste,” “rainbow milk,” strawberry DNA, slime, and interesting critters.

Scott Gabriel, a biochemistry professor at Viterbo University, expressed his excitement about Fired Up for Science saying that it is a highlight for the university as it allows them to ignite a passion for science in young individuals that could lead to a greater curiosity about the world around them. The event is open to all and completely free of charge, with no registration required. So come on down and get ready to be amazed!
