Revolutionizing Messenger Photo-Sharing: New Features Enhance Conversations and Connections

New features on Messenger: HD photo sending, shared albums, and 100MB file sharing

In a bid to improve the photo-sharing experience on Messenger, Meta has introduced new features. With these features, users can now send HD images and create shared albums in chats. They can also share larger files up to 100MB and add contacts via QR codes.

To enhance conversations and connections on the platform, users can now send HD quality photos in Messenger chats, similar to WhatsApp. They can select multiple HD images to send at once by activating the HD option in the chat. Additionally, users can create shared albums to organize memories and moments with their contacts and friends.

To create an album in a chat, users can select the photos and videos they want to include and click on the ‘Create album’ option. They can add photos to existing albums by clicking on ‘Add to album’ and selecting the album. Each shared album can be named and all chat participants can view, add, delete, and download the images and videos.

Meta has also introduced a new option to allow users to add contacts via QR codes, which makes it easy for them to connect with others without sharing personal information. This feature is expected to roll out in the coming weeks alongside other new functions that aim to enhance user experience on Messenger.
