Head of National Assembly Attends ceremony to unveil new direct flight route between Ho Chi Minh City and Xi’an

Vietjet has announced the launch of direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Xi’an, with four round trips per week starting from April 29. This new route is part of Vietjet’s efforts to expand its flight connections to China, with successful routes to Shanghai and Chengdu in the past.

During a forum on promoting investment and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China held on April 10 in China, the announcement of the flight route was made in the presence of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue. Xi’an, located in Shaanxi province, is known for its cultural heritage and historical significance as the starting point of the Silk Road. It attracts a large amount of foreign direct investment and is a key city in Western China.

Ho Chi Minh City, on the other hand, is a vibrant economic, cultural, and tourist hub in Vietnam with a population of nearly 10 million people. It offers easy connections to both domestic and international destinations. The new flight route between Ho Chi Minh City and Xi’an not only connects the two cities but also provides convenient connections to other Asian destinations in Vietjet’s network such as Australia, India, Korea, and Mongolia.
